Ketia Jeune composed this video as a Remediation Remix project for her Writing and Editing in Print and Online (ENC 3416) course.
Ketia writes, “This video was created as a Remediation Remix project at Florida State University for the course ENC 3416. I chose the Nike Last Commercial on YouTube and remixed it into what I call Artistic Athleticism. Using that video as a platform I advocated for the all the arts, dance in particular. I made the choice to use dancers instead of runners to display that dance can also be a competitive sport. Despite social implications that different forms of dancing are simply used as a feminine hobby, media has challenged this narrative and exhibited otherwise. I believe that I have also done the same.”
